Everybody
Everybody by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins is a modern adaptation of the 15th-century play Everyman. After being told they are about to die, the character, Everybody, desperately searches for someone to travel with them to the underworld. Everybody begs Friendship, Kinship, Cousin, and Stuff to no avail. Strength, Beauty, Senses, and Mind eventually promise to accompany Everybody, until they are faced with going into the grave. This is a dramatic piece focused on the purpose of life, death, and loyalty.
